I heard the message 'I'm worth loving and created by a good God, my life is important no matter what anybody says' during my encounter with God as an atheist. That was the first sign; the Holy Spirit gave me that message.

You know, I mean, we play music, if people like it and they want to, you know, they want to support us, then that's amazing, you know. It doesn't matter, you know, if you're Christian or not.

We were on our second album when I got married. And the album was called 'Memento Mori.' And 'memento mori' means remember you're mortal, remember that you'll die and remember that your life is short and precious and so are the lives of those around you.

My lyrics seem to resonate with a lot of Flyleaf's younger fans and what they've been through. They relate to the things I've been through, for whatever reason.

I lived most of my life in Texas, but I've settled down in Pittsburgh. My husband is from here. We met at a Flyleaf show in Columbus.

Rot' is one of my favorite songs from the Life Screams album and we had an amazing time making the video. I hope it brings new freedom to the soul and new life to the hearts of all who watch it.

I don't know how many times I've experienced something where I felt like God showed up and saved me or loved me for no reason sometimes.

Before we play a show, we pray for the audience.

On the self-titled record touring cycle, we had a lot of heavy experiences with loved ones dying or even ourselves facing death in one way or another.

Maybe I'm too personal, but I can't look at a 16-, 15-, 14-year-old girl in the audience and not think about my little sister. I can't help but think she's someone's little sister, someone's little girl. She's somebody who wants to be loved just like my sister.

We toured for ten years. I mean, we weren't home for more than a month, probably, a year.

When I left Flyleaf I really wanted to stay connected with the fans and so I continued to answer emails and tried to write some blogs and stay connected that way and my husband could tell that I was just super heavy about the fans and just being able to reach out to them so he suggested that I write a book.

God just rescued me. All of the blessings that I've seen come out of my life have been from Him just rescuing me.

The truth is, we only have one Father and that's God, and we only have one Bridegroom and that's Christ.

In the end, God is the God of all authorities. He's the highest authority and He loves you and He can totally defend us and protect us.

When I think about Flyleaf it makes me want to cry. Because it was such a special, unique family.

When we give God our lives, we become our truest selves.

God took my experiences and crashes and turned them into something surprising, something magnificent: joy.

The first thing I recognised is that God is good... so good we have to use the word holy. He's so beyond good that I could never even touch that.

My favorite thing about music is that it tells a story. You can hear the message without having to understand the words. I love that so much.

Label people get mad because I take pictures with fans while I'm wearing glasses. They'll be like, 'That's not Lacey Mosley!' But I know who Lacey Mosley is.

I thank God every time I hear myself singing at a show.

There are more fans who don't know the spiritual side of our music than the ones who do, and that's fine.

What's cool about getting pregnant is that I feel like my priorities in my life are gonna change and life is gonna be a little bit more stable, I think, in a way that I can put boundaries around how much work demands of me, you know.

I don't think I can vote for a president that's for abortion.

It was fun working with Orianthi. She's a really cool girl, and she has a great voice.

Memento Mori' means that no matter who you are, we are all mortal.

I know that if I ever get to meet Vinnie Paul, I'm gonna burst into tears.

To find music that's cinematic in a way that goes with the words and the message I think is my main goal. It just naturally comes out of me and sounds like rock music.

It's a rollercoaster to find out the difference between right and wrong.

What really matters is love, faith, the spirit. The soul. When I focus there, on the eternal things, I find a tremendous resolve to protect what matters most.

During times of loss, it's obvious that what we see is temporary. We have to accept that. But what lingers after loss is what we can't see. That is eternal.

There is sometimes an animosity for Christianity.

We are all Christians in our band, and it comes out in our music. We want to be honest.

I would want to know if they are Christian. When I read somebody's lyrics and they connect with my faith, are they Christian?

I just wanna be able to be honest with the art and do it because it's flowing and it's real to me.

I think Korn, I wasn't into them at all. And then I listened to the album and I was, like, 'Wow. It's great.' It wasn't like whatever the single was.

There were bands back in the '90s when I started building a rock CD collection or whatever, I would get their CD and I was, like, that first song that I heard on the radio was good and the second one was, like, 'This sucks. I don't wanna be a fan of this band.'

Romance is a shadow of the divine.

One time, we had all the equipment piled in a van, and we're driving through a blizzard in Colorado, and we had a mattress on top of the equipment so we could sleep on top of all that.

I think the most important thing about singers was that they were passionate and they did it on purpose and they meant what they said. I think that way about Nirvana and I think that way about just the grunge era in general - Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots back in the day, Smashing Pumpkins.

There is no king that won't face a mortal death the same as a slave. So kings and slaves alike should make the most of life and love everyone as selflessly as possible, because tomorrow is another day, and kings can fall, becoming slaves, and slaves can be promoted to become kings.

We just want to be honest with who we are.

Everyone deals with depression and feeling like they want to give up. It's about being brave enough to live though.

Everything I had seen of Christianity was just used to judge people and to be holier-than-thou.

I feel like I'm the kind of person that I think so much happened that I never in a million years thought would happen, so I've learned to quit saying 'never.'

I got to work with David Hodges, who used to be in Evanescence, on some songs. He's written a ton of songs with a lot of female artists like Kelly Clarkson and Christina Perri. We've written some amazing songs, some of my favorite stuff that I've done.

Working with Love and Death on 'Let Me Love You' was sort of a supernatural experience. I was mourning the loss of a loved one when I recorded the song.

Eternal life starts in our soul.
