My perfect day would start with a kiss from my daughter. I would drive her to school listening to our favourite punk rock music on loud in the car.

I grew up having all the Dolce & Gabbana campaigns on the walls of my teenage bedroom, and I was dreaming of one day being a model.

Becoming a mother made me better understand how blessed I am to do this job.

As soon as I gave birth, I had, like, 20 kilos, which I think is about 50 lbs., and I realized, 'Oh my gosh - in one month, I have my photo shoot.' So I had to lose a lot, and you know, it doesn't happen in one month. So it took me almost a year because I think, realistically, it takes about a year.

I am very lucky: there are so many models that look so particular and become the popular of-the-moment models. They have such a unique and special look, whereas I am more classic looking.

Every model aspires to get contracts, so I have been very lucky with Dolce & Gabbana to be able to get that before I even really started as a model.

I've learned more from makeup artists in my nine years of modeling than from my mother. She always told me not to wear any makeup. I try to keep my skin and hair clean and give them a rest when I'm not working.

I really love women that manage to be amazing in their age.

I was very naughty. That's the reason I didn't go very much to the university, because I was partying with my friends more than going to the university.

I just want to have a lot of kids.

It's good to mind about things but not to give it too much weight, because there are some things you cannot change.

I always say what I think... I'm not brave - I just have no filter.

My mom never used to put makeup on. But one day, when I was a kid, she had a red lip, and I was like, 'Oh my God, you look so amazing!' She said, 'But if I wore it all the time, you would not have noticed.'

I really love doing simple things. I'm surrounded by people all the time at work, so I want to have a normal life when I'm off duty: motherhood, food, and love!

When you wear your signature scent, you feel something special from within.

I take so many planes, so I need to give my skin and hair a moisture boost. I use a hair oil in the ends before I go on the plane and always spritz a face spray during the flight.

I love Milan because it's my home town. But Paris is the dream city: even when you're stressed out in shows, you look around, and everything is so beautiful. Then, in New York, I love the energy of the city.

When you shoot on location, you need the sunrise natural light, so you need to be up and ready. I never get used to waking up so early! I love sleep too much.

My favourite area of Milano is by the canons - I go to an authentic Italian restaurant around there on a Sunday for delicious food.

Giving my contribution to protect and respect the environment, as well as its inhabitants, makes me feel happy.

I love the sunrise, as I am definitely a morning person! It's a great time to get up and have a coffee in the garden by myself before everybody wakes up.

The sun feels so lovely on your skin, but it can be really damaging. I make sure to wear SPF 50 sun cream all over my body at all times. It takes a bit longer to get tanned, but the color stays way longer afterwards.

I like to wear colors and prints in the summer and play with extravagant accessories.

I love to go to the beach or stay at the pool with my girls - enjoy the sun and the water as much as I can, take rides with the bicycles, and spend time with my family.

Ever since I was a little girl, I watched many movies, and a lot of them are in California. So I already felt the United States was my home. It wasn't a difficult choice to move here.
