Purpose is meaning, and meaning is happiness. When a man has not a good reason for doing a thing, he has one good reason for letting it alone. It may be that your sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others. Unless a life is lived for others, it is not worthwhile. Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed.
