Typically, when I'm acting on set, I rely so much on the non-verbal: body language and all the unsaid things that make a connection feel real and alive.

As actors we have these things that they call eco-casting, where you don't even go to an office and meet with a human being, you just do it on your own. Those auditions can feel a little futile.

Any opportunity to show two strong women on screen I welcome.

Knowing that I was the first version of Misty Knight, a character that was created 40 years ago is one thing. But now knowing that I can get to a place where we are giving the fans the Daughters of the Dragon that they have been waiting for for decades is even more exciting.

With every character it's interesting. If you play Macbeth, people have seen and read Shakespeare and see dozens of actors play that role. In their mind they've got that Macbeth at the Royal Shakespeare Company and that Macbeth on 43rd Street in New York City.

I would love to do a great, female-driven comedy. I also love really small, quiet, independent-film stories that tell a slice of life.
