I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club.

We want to win and you can't have a player who needs a long time to adapt.

In the end, I want to play, play well, score and win.

I think the football in the Premier League fits me very well.

Doesn't matter if I score or someone else, as long as we win.

At the end, you have to keep pushing because it's a team sport and we want to win.

In Germany we say, 'a good offence wins you games, but a good defence wins you titles.'

I think when you want to score 20 or more goals, then you have a to take a few penalties in the season. That's the thing that gives strikers the goals, when you are at the high levels.

I have fun playing every game so it is no problem for me.

Of course, a lot of German players played in the Premier League before. It wasn't that I saw one and thought I wanted to play in the Premier League because of him. I wanted to come to the Premier League because it is the world's best league.

To achieve at Chelsea I come here to win titles.

It is fun to play at Chelsea, be part of the team and be part of what we start here.

Yes, I think when I decided to leave Leipzig I talked to different clubs and next to Chelsea I spoke to other clubs.

That's why you play football because you want a full stadium.

I would like to play for two or three clubs, and Manchester United are one of those clubs.

I learned a lot, won the Champions League and other trophies.

You never know what will happen in football in the future - that is not just a phrase, that's a fact.

I try to give my best every game, 100% to make sure the team are happy.

Sometimes I don't know why they are supporting me so much, because I'm a striker and I want to score but miss chances. It makes it so fun to play in front of the Chelsea fans & when they give the support they give me, it makes me stronger when I miss chances or have hard times.

I want to go to the Premier League. A lot of massive, strong defenders.

Being fast is a really good thing because it gives me a lot of opportunities to score. It means I can create chances.

I was a little bit surprised but Turbo Timo is not the worst nickname. Hopefully I can show the nickname suits me.

My dad always wanted me to be faster and he wanted to give me strength in my muscles. He let me run up some hills and it helped me a lot. It taught me you have to work hard and the strength and fitness in the games doesn't come from doing nothing.

I think English football is very fast, faster than German football.

When I scored 28 goals in the Bundesliga, not every team pressed high and allowed me to make runs behind defenders. Maybe 10 or 12 teams in the league played deep in their own half against Leipzig and I scored then as well.

At Chelsea, I saw that I can play straight away and be a regular.

I had a lot of managers when it was not so easy to score say, 'OK, come, we practise outside to give you a better feeling.'

Sometimes when you come to a new club, you know that everybody has big expectations for you and they want you to score the goals for the club.

That's my ambition to say, 'I want to score, I want to go there where the ball is dropping in front of the goal.' I never was like this, to say, 'I'm scared now to score.'

When you don't try, you will never come back to the feeling of how to score and your confidence will never come back.

The Germans love the types like Thomas Muller, Jurgen Klopp - they have empathy. They say what they think, and that is really important in this business, to not fake something.

From the outside it was easy to scapegoat me, whether that was from the media or coaches, whatever. But at least the fans were always behind me, they supported me. I can't say anything against them.

The manager who brought me in Lampard was sacked a few months later which was not the best for a player who joined the club after talking to this manager.

In the end a manager likes some players more than others - it's completely normal and you have to accept that.

Covid was a big thing, a lot of clubs were unable to spend money while Chelsea were able to go all-in for players.

When you come from the kind of success I had in Germany or with Chelsea - playing nearly every game in the first season, winning the Champions League in 2021, scoring in the semi-final against Real Madrid, making a lot of goals. Then all this gets a little bit forgotten by the manager, it was not really fair.

I had a very good first six months at Chelsea, which was what the supporters and club expected of me. I scored the goals and played good games.

In Leipzig I was the best Timo I can be.

I'm not a player who sits in the stands with his arms folded and sulks.

Of course you learn something from a striker like Benzema. Just because he has achieved a lot, but also because of his quality. For me, he is incredible with the ball, the way he dribbles, the way he moves, the way he finishes.

It's important to show the coach that you can then help the team.

Benzema is one of the best No 9s in the world.

I certainly think at Leipzig that it always helped me having a big striker alongside me. I think that's always good because I'm not the biggest and when you play up front on your own, you always have the attention of one or two defenders.

I really associate very great successes with Chelsea - the greatest of my career. It will always be a special club for me.

Of course, I had great success at Chelsea, but the fun got a bit lost in the end because I didn't play regularly anymore.

For me, the fun of playing football is in the foreground.

The style of the Premier League is very fast and my speciality is that I am really fast so I think it is perfect for me to play here.

When you have a decision to go from your old club and you come to a big club like this, it was for me a dream which came true because Chelsea is a very big club.

It's the best feeling after winning a game to score a goal.
