I would love to play for Kerala because there is nothing like playing for a home team.

One emerges as a better person after going through the wringer.

Who says men don't cry? I used to sob like a baby as I was forced to move around in a wheelchair for two months after twin surgeries on my toes.

My work ethics have been the same whether it's in international cricket, first class, or even club cricket.

I have always given hundred percent on the field.

I really don't plan whether I would dance after taking a wicket or not.

It is a great opportunity and a great challenge to be a part of Indian team for the World Cup.

It was a dream to have a team for the state. While playing for the Punjab King's XI, I used to think of having a team for Kerala.

There is nothing more disgraceful for any sportsperson than to be accused of murky stuff like match-fixing or spot-fixing.

I was born in a small village in Kerala. From there, I went on to play for the Kerala state team and international test cricket for India, and now I am working in TV shows and cinema... Any miracle can happen.

I look at my life journey as a miracle.

I want to work with Steven Spielberg... whether it is a small role or big in a Hollywood movie, it will be a lifetime experience for me. It will be a dream come true for me. And I always believe that anything can happen in life.

I am a rhythmic bowler.

Bowling in sub-continental conditions is not easy for a fast bowler. You have to be consistent and persistent to succeed, especially when you are bowling to the likes of Sangakkara, Mahela, Samaraweera, and Dilshan.

I love cricket and am the last person who would get involved in something like spot-fixing. Anyone who knows me will think twice before coming to me with such an offer. Because I don't even listen to the captain before I play a match. I wouldn't agree to do it even for Rs 100 crore.

I am trying to make the most of the opportunities I get.

I have made mistakes and learnt from them.

I want to improve as a cricketer, a human being, and give my best for the country.

I don't really think about the crowd when I am in the middle. I actually forget about the crowd, forget the money; that's exactly what I always do.

I play a lot of cricket. I just want to play, play, and play.

During my days as a cricketer, I used to be so involved with the game, I never bothered to look after my family.

I don't mind which wicket you play on - wet, dry, slow, or fast. I just want to play cricket.

I can't be a nice man on the field. I try to laugh, but whenever I start laughing or be jovial, I get smashed.

You should look to give your best shot and not worry about the results because if you work hard, the results will take care of themselves.

I don't want to live on my past performances and say that I did well then.

When you play for your country, you remember all your performances, starting from the Under-19 days.

I want to be part of a family which wants to improve Indian democracy.

My father-in-law wanted me to join politics when the Madhya Pradesh election was going on.

The way I look at things, every religion is the same.

I am a firm believer. I don't follow any particular religion. That's the way I was brought up.

I am sure I will make a great politician because I love to help people in a genuine way.

I was not born a cricketer to start with, so I had to really work hard; I had to really train hard. It took lots of practice and lots of matches to get there.

I would love to be part of a Ranji Trophy-winning Kerala side.
