I feel like sometimes people don't think I'm that good, because I'm not there with those big names, big stars. But man, I know I can beat these guys.

I like to make things happen.

Sometimes team sports, you have to wait. Wait for what the guy is gonna do. I don't like to wait. I like to do.

I'm thankful for everything they've done for me, and I feel at home inside the WSOF cage.

Cutting weight is the worst part. Fighting is just fun.

Fighting for the title gives me more motivation.

Barao has evolved a lot in many aspects of the game. He was a jiu-jitsu fighter who became a striker.

WSOF made all my dreams come true, and I hope they continue to do that.

I love the World Series of Fighting. They've been doing so great for me, but at some point, man, I'm going to have to move it on.

I know every fighter, every 135er in the UFC. I've been watching these guys fighting and I see, man, I have the game to beat these guys.

Some fighters have a lot of losses but against fighters who are tough, and others are undefeated because they built their records with easy fights.

We always come to the U.S. thinking that it will be a lot easier than it was in Brazil, but it was even harder. The fighters here are prepared, good in wrestling.

I considered leaving MMA for Muay Thai, but at the same time I always sparred with good MMA fights and did great, so I saw I had potential.

I used to train at Nova Friburgo and twice a week at Nova Uniao gym in Rio de Janeiro. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to spend a whole week to train at Nova Uniao.

It's so unbelievable when you train so hard for a fight and when you keep repeating the same thing over 10, 20, 30 times a day and it works in the fight.

I'm always thinking of ways I can improve.

Not many people where I'm from get to do what they love to do, and I'm so thankful.

I love to fight people who actually like to get in there and fight too.

We want to challenge ourselves and it's a challenge to go out of your division.

Some guys just want to get in the sport to make money but the most important thing in life is to do what you love because one day it's going to be hard and when it is, you'd better love it or it won't all be worth it.

Some athletes are in the UFC to fight this or that guy, but that's not me. I'm here to fight the best and prove I'm the best.

My dream has always been to be in the UFC.

I'm a big fan of MMA. I watch all the shows.

I like to fight on my feet.

I can go wherever the fight goes. Wherever it is, I'm dangerous.

When it's time, when the UFC or Bellator really want the athlete, they will pay.

It's exciting to fight in New York.

It's hard to come up with a strategies for every opponent in the UFC because they are all tough.

I think I showed I'm the best 135-pounder in the world.

This is what champions do. They go out there and they beat whoever they put in front of them.
