The things that we have, the opportunities that we continue to do with the backstage vignettes, throwing guys into ceilings, trash cans, lockers, and everything I can find to put them in and through, that itself has been fun for me.

You can't explain the energy that you actually get from real fan.

I'm looking forward to making people open their eyes and recognize exactly how good I am at what I do.

I love Japan. I loved going out there and I love the fan base, and I loved everything that I was doing out there, but the opportunity to come home and to be on U.S. television and see my friends and family, the idea was to be able to tour the U.S. and be a part of that.

As far as me, I'm just looking forward to the future. There's a lot of people that look to the past. I've learned from the past, absolutely. I know my past absolutely. I'm not discrediting or... ignoring my past in any way, but my focus has always been moving forward, moving forward into the future.

Pro wrestling is pro wrestling and it's one of those industries where things change on a dime. I'm coming up on 19 years in a business with various companies and often one day you're there and the next day you're gone.

Will I end up in TNA? Who knows. Will I end up back in the WWE? Who knows. I'm going to push forward. I'm going to become as big and better as I've ever been.

It's fun living the life and traveling and getting to do things that I otherwise probably would never do but it comes with a cost of loss of privacy and being away from loved one a lot.

I think initially with the ECW product it was a perfect place. Even though it was WWE's ECW, it was a perfect place for the young talent to kind of get their feet wet and figure out the lay of the land and to figure out how the WWE works and then you can transition better into Raw or SmackDown.

And when you asked why I signed with AEW, that's what I saw, was chance for a new future and everything has been extremely cool with me in AEW so far.

Yeah, I went for the TNT title and didn't work out, but I kept kicking some butt, throwing people in ceilings and waiting my turn.

Everybody goes through ups and downs and wins and losses, bumps in the road, and I don't let anything like that slow me down.

So, you never know what the future holds for cross-promotional situations. I think it would only benefit everybody if and when that situation happens.

I was at an autograph show, and there were a lot of people from TNA there doing meet and greets. One of the girls from TNA there asked me why I hadn't joined yet and I said I'd tried and it didn't work out. She asked me to give her a video and pictures, and a few days later I got asked to do a tryout.

My best moment with Sting was when they made a little movie, this kind of biopic of him. I go to be in it and hit him with a chair.

For me, to be the first G1 match ever in the United States was a really cool experience. And Will Ospreay and I, I think, went out there and tore the house down.

That first match there in Dallas for the G1 was the first time they'd really seen me work as a singles competitor in a really long time. This was kind of a coming-out party. I took it as an opportunity to really kind of reinvent myself. And really start the journey that is The Murderhawk Monster.

I've been kind of a journeyman. My five-year stint at TNA. My short cup of coffee in WWE. The last eight-and-a-half years in Japan. I wanted to prove to the world that I absolutely belong as a singles competiton.

I worked with Kenny Omega in Japan. But we never wrestled each other.

I've been blessed. 20 years in the business of professional wrestling, all over the world, a bunch of different companies.

He's got the look. He's got the ability to speak. He's got the ability to step in the ring and back it up with his wrestling skill. It's an amazing, unique combination that Ricky Starks has.

Everybody in this business has lost. Undertaker's lost at WrestleMania, and that was never supposed to happen, but it did.

One of the best talkers to ever step foot in the ring is Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, and he proves it every time he steps out there and cuts a promo.
