Oh, I really miss Grover yaar. Sunil and I have known each other for long even before we started working together on 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' or 'TKSS' and our bonding and chemistry reflected on-screen when we worked together. We have partied a lot together.

I didn't want to do character roles because when you are doing comic characters, you only get character roles.

Every actor has the desire to do films, but I never had that approach.

I don't endorse sex comedies. Even in TV shows, there are many double meaning dialogues and I am not really comfortable doing that.

I play board games with my sons and they are very interesting and I have discovered a few which I was not aware of.

When I was offered Angrezi Medium to do, my biggest reason for doing this film was Irrfan Khan. I loved the idea of working with him as I have watched all his films and have loved so many of them.

Years ago I played different female roles in 'Grand Indian Comedy Show,' but as it was not as popular show as 'TKSS' and 'CNWK,' it never got noticed.

If given a chance, I would love step into Akshay Kumar's shoes. He has a lovely family and his mind is always in the correct place.

I really like Akshay Kumar. He can be funny and weird while at the same time. His films are always interesting and meaningful.

Fatness is invariable in my family.

There's a certain amount of cuteness in being plump.

I fit well in the comedy zone. A plump and chubby figure goes well with most onscreen characters... it adds more value to what I say.

Weight has never been a deterrent in finding the right role.

If it works, good, if it doesn't, then move on, I will try something else. This is my style of humor and with time, I've understood that people like it and it is working.

I can't take so much of burden on my head, I am a happy-go-lucky guy, I don't take pressure.

I really wish that 'Angrezi Medium' would have released a little earlier or little after - at least, we would have had a proper release. The movie was taken down after one day of release. It is such a beautiful film and Irrfan Khan hasn't done a film in a long time, given his health conditions.

To call doing films upgrade from TV wouldn't be right because TV is huge too.

Web will have space for comedy just as films and TV.

I am open to playing a woman again. I would like to explore lot of other things as well.

Life has changed since my kids. I love visiting gaming parlors and playing with them for hours on end.

I would love to make a film, because storytelling happens only in movies. I would explore relationships in my movies. Maybe, the journey of a child from a broken home, or a relationship between a single father and his kids.

If I weren't an actor, I would have been a bad actor because this is where I belong. This is my love and my passion.

And even though I am overweight, I am not lethargic.

It was after sometime that I convinced myself that TV shows run on talent, not people, and then used my talent to the fullest.

See, it's okay to do spoofs on a certain actors who you know will take it sportingly, like for example Chunky Pandey.

On a daily basis, I interact with lot of new people and new ideas come to my head.

In a live show, the reaction to our jokes is instant. You know immediately whether the joke is working or not.

I find TV shows easier to do than films.

I am extremely excited to play the character of Akbar once again on BIG Magic's 'Naya Akbar Birbal.' There is no better feeling than knowing that your character is so loved by the audience.

Psychologically it gets challenging at times to switch into a female character. But the moment I get into the look of Palak, I automatically get into the mood of her. My wife and parents have no problem with it. My wife has only told me not to enter the house in the Palak get-up after the shoot.

I have performed so much on 'Comedy Night' that people won't have any doubt whether I can dance with a heavy body or not.

I don't get much time to rehearse for dance everyday. At the end of the day, I get drained out. With a heavy body, it's difficult to manage but I am trying.

SRK is a gem of a person. He told me that he is a keen viewer of 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' and his family records those episodes which he misses during shooting schedules.

The character of Akbar, among other characters that I portray on TV, has consistently been the most loved by my fans.

It used to be crazy as I would shoot till 5 A. M. for Kapil's show and then rush to the sets of 'Akbar Birbal' and then finish my dance practice.
