The travel and tourism industry, it's just a huge part of our economy.

I never dreamed I would one day work at it White House.

And, you know, I watched him in Texas where he stood on his principle but he also reached out to members of the other party to try to work with them, to try to forge agreement where he could in keeping with his conservative principles to make Texas a better place.

Unfortunately, you know, working in a spirit of cooperation and respect requires someone else to reach back, and I don't think that's happened and it's been disappointing because the debate in our country has become so rancorous.

The facts are on our side.

The President has a wonderful sense of humor, which is one of the reasons it is so much fun to work for him.

I'm also working with Mrs. Bush on some education projects in Afghanistan, so I get to see her a great deal.

I can't imagine anyone who doesn't think the world is safer without a tyrant who murdered his own people, used weapons of mass destruction against them and flouted the world for so many years.

For the year after I left government service, I worked as a consultant to the Republican National Committee because the lawyers advised that was the proper way for me to comply with ethics regulations and continue to advise the President.

Now, I am completely independent - I earn my living by speaking and writing.

Well, it really describes what it feels like to be a normal person whose boss and friend suddenly runs for the president, and then becomes the president.

As a young girl I think I wanted to be a horse woman. I loved horses.

And when I started college, I think I was good at two things: arguing and asking questions.

I can assure you we are all strong-willed, forceful personalities and the president encourages vigorous debate.

We have to worry about protecting the Constitution.

In fact, my mom always told me because I was the daughter of an Army officer born overseas in Paris, France, that under the Constitution she believed that I could never run for president.
