Playing by instinct was always one of my strengths in the past, to just play football on the pitch and not to think about things a lot.

Small things can turn everything around.

Most people call me 'Kai.' The 'king' comes more from the press.

With the move to Chelsea - not only with the name but the price tag, a big amount of money for you, the fans expect you to play good. Sometimes it's not easy. You are also just a human.

My position is not that important to me.

One of the players that helps me a lot for example was Kova. I had from day one a very good relationship with him. He's a different character of playing football. But I think we share the same understanding of football. Before the game, a very calm person and for me this is good sometimes to be next to somebody that is very calm.

Everyone knows I can play on the right, left, as a nine or in the 10.

The Premier League is much tougher than the Bundesliga.

I like the position as a centre-forward in the box, in the penalty area, to push into the front aggressively, to score goals.

It's still good that I am flexible and can play different positions up front, but I am there to score goals and make assists, and as a No 9, you have to do that and link up with players.

Chelsea is always a big club and they want to win titles and I try to do my best so we can achieve these things.

I know that in myself, I know many people have doubts about me.

My grandma had a piano at home so I was playing as a kid sometimes. For three years I just wanted to start playing the piano. And now whenever I want to play I play, and it makes me feel comfortable and it's fun.

It's about giving your all in the game, having fun, and hopefully winning.

From my first years, my favourite animal was always the donkey.

More or less, I'm a midfield player but I like to go into the box, and maybe that's why not every defensive player has me on their mind - I just run through the midfield and then I'm there.

I like to arrive in the box often and I don't care if I'm there as a no. 9 or a no. 10.

Personally, sometimes I grow from these situations when you don't have a good moment, maybe sit on the bench.

Everyone knows you can not only have positive moments, there are some negative.

I like to play free and to be in the box.

I will try to keep my head up, score goals and make assists because as a number nine that's what everyone wants you to do.

Many goalkeepers are now preparing for penalties and the shooters. At the same time, the opponents try to influence and unsettle the shooter.

I'm a creative player, I'm instinctive.

When I was young I always used to play 'FIFA' or 'Pro Evolution Soccer' with my brother.

When I came to the professional game and Leverkusen asked me what number I wanted to have, I asked them which numbers were free. When they said 29, I said I'd take it because of my brother.

For me it's a perfect step to come from Leverkusen to the Premier League.

I always give my best, I help where I can.

Whether I play in the number 10, nine or on the right flank, I want to help the team and justify the coach's trust.

I have played for five years on a good level and showed I can score a lot of goals in a season.

A career doesn't always go up and up and up, you sometimes have to fall down a little bit and sit on the bench, learn from it.

As a footballer you are always hungry and want more.

Scoring goals is the best moment for a football player.

Football is a business, and many people won't care about it two weeks after a Champions League win, and if you have a bad game, it's all forgotten about.

I've already played as a central striker at Leverkusen, one time or another at Chelsea.

Azpi is just a great person and captain who I really appreciate.

I like to go into the box and score goals, maybe from first contact or two touches.

Of course I watched the Premier League as a kid, very often with my family and with my parents.

Michael Ballack was a very, very big player, he also played for Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. He was also the hero of course when I was younger, and he played for Chelsea as well. I liked him as a player very much, he played in my position and he was a midfield player who wanted to score a lot of goals.

Of course, football is one of the most important things in my life as well, but my family and things like this that are supports, like the animals, is very important for me as well.

I'm trying to do my best to help people, to help the animals.

I just keep on going and working, trying to help my team in every training session and game. That's the most important.

When you play for Chelsea you always want to win trophies.

It's a big ambition of mine to win trophies at Chelsea.

Leverkusen are a great club, I feel good. I have always said that.

I think of course maybe the left foot of Lionel Messi, the right foot of Neymar and the head of Ronaldo maybe. The brain I would say maybe De Bruyne, he's a very good player for me and I love to watch him play. I think these are very good and would be a very good combination as a player.
