I am amused with the love people are showing for my songs. I am really happy to see my fans enjoying my music and loving the music I make.

In my childhood, I used to go to theatres to watch independent singers' outing on screen. I used to be excited about how different they sound in a video and at a theatre.

You don't necessarily need Bollywood for wider acclaim.

I started singing and writing songs since childhood and later started releasing my independent music.

Singing for Bollywood films has an altogether different approach, as the industry has a wider reach. It has helped me reach parts of India which I didn't know existed.

We are trying our best to spread the culture of Punjabi music all over the world. With the traditional rigid Punjabi music, people always had a myth that the music is very conventional, but nowadays, we are really thrilled to see how people are loving the tunes and beats of Punjabi music.

As an independent artist, there can be nothing better than the fact that your song will be played and heard in different corners of the world.

Punjabi songs are fun. They help to cheer up the environment and the mood.

I am glad to see the people grooving to and loving the Punjabi tunes. I also personally feel that Punjabi songs have a different vibe and energy, which helps in lifting one's mood completely.

I always tell my audiences not to listen to such artists who play audio CDs at their concerts. Such shows shouldn't be called live shows. People like AR Rahman, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Arijit Singh are the ones who hold true concerts.

With independent music, I can do what I feel satisfied with, and not feel the pressure of what others expect me to deliver.

I can understand criticism coming from people who have met me, but it is off-putting to hear nasty things about myself from people I have never met or even seen in life.
