I'm not very good at dating.

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. I lived in Grand Blanc, Michigan for a year and that's when I got involved in acting and took classes there. A manager who saw me at the agency I was at in Michigan wanted me to come out to L.A.

Well, television is grueling. The hours are grueling, it's hard work, and there's a lot of pressure to get it done without a lot of rehearsal time.

'American Horror' in particular is a really crazy show. We have crazy crap happening to us on that show.

I actually put peanut butter on my bagel. I really like peanut butter and I like to ruin the bagel. You know what's even crazier that I do sometimes? I do cinnamon raisin bagels with peanut butter. It is really, really out there.

I was a big fan of all the 'X-Men' films growing up.

I actually watch 'The Walking Dead.' I like 'The Walking Dead' a lot.

Elvis is this thing, this commodity, and people forget that he was a real person.

Hotels are really scary. There are a lot of haunted ones in L.A. that I want to check out. So many people come in and out, and a lot of them can be dark. That dark gets locked in the hotel and stays there.

I love the book 'Devil in the White City.'

My older sister showed me 'Hellraiser' when I was, like, 4, and 'Friday the 13th.' She kind of scarred me, but I like watching scary movies with people because you're together in this scary situation. It makes all that more fun.

I have knitted before, but I gave that up.

Just thinking about that, if that were to really happen, if an alien were to come down and really abduct you, how terrifying and how earth-shattering would that be? Your whole world is just destroyed. God is destroyed. It's kind of a fascinating thing to think about.

I'm goofy. I'm silly. I like to have fun.

Usually, I'm an over-thinker.

As a kid, I was more scared of the supernatural stuff and ghosts and goblins and the Crypt Keeper from 'Tales from the Crypt.' I was always scared he would chase me up the stairs, as a kid.

Ryan Murphy's a brilliant director to work with who's very fun and creative.

It's scary how effective movies can be. It's a very powerful medium that I think is sometimes abused.

I love acting classes. I think they're great. It's like working out in the gym. It's a great place to figure out everything that's working and what isn't working.

I think comedy and horror are very similar in that there's a very direct intention. So you're trying to be funny, or you're trying to be creepy, and that literalness - I take to that.

The roles on 'American Horror Story' are so complicated.

I guess creepy comes natural to me - I hate to say that.

A lot of people don't know that I'm really a silly guy. I don't take anything seriously. It takes a lot of energy for me to take something seriously.
