You can't feel sorry for yourself because I think all that's going to do is affect the way I play.

I just couldn't be more proud to say I played football at UCF, and it was the best four years of my life.

You learn or figure things out during the offseason. You take things from the previous offseason, you change things.

I don't think you can simulate a place like Arrowhead when it's rocking.

I've enjoyed every minute playing for him. He gave me the opportunity that no other school in the country did, and that was to play quarterback at the college level. I am very thankful for Coach O'Leary.

If you're getting blown out every week, you have a lot to work on and a lot to improve.

I'll continue to try and prepare as hard as I can and be as ready as possible, but when the game starts I'm going to go have fun and enjoy myself and have a good time with a bunch of good friends playing football in the NFL.

I enjoy playing the game of football. I think I play it best when it's at its simplest form and I'm just having fun and enjoying the game and really, obviously, we're moving the ball and being successful.

I'm not very complicated or an over-thinker.

When it comes down to it, nobody's trying to make a mistake. Nobody's trying to hold. Nobody's trying to throw an interception.

You know that they're going to cheer for you when you're winning, and want you to sign autographs and take pictures. And when you're losing, they're going to boo you. That's the world we live in and that's what fans do.

I was fortunate enough to figure out at a young age that fans don't like players. They like winning.

If a team loses for a while, I bet everybody's probably pretty frustrated.

It's extremely important for guys to have that belief in their quarterback, that everything is going to get done properly, balls are going to be delivered in the right place and you're going to get them the right play and all that.

All you can do is put your head down and continue to play as hard as you can and prepare each week.

The goal my entire life was to get drafted. I never cared if I was No. 1 overall or Mr. Irrelevant.

Everybody talked about how stressful the combine was going to be, how I was going to be throwing to receivers I didn't know and things like that. I approached it with the attitude that I'm a football player. I throw the football. I want to show people what I can do.

I thrive on being poised.

Every school I visited, I kept comparing it UCF.

You talk about teachers having different teaching strategies to reach students. The old-school type is you do everything one way. The new-school type is you form a relationship and learn about a guy, and figure out what pushes his buttons and makes him go.

Players handle things differently. There's guys you can't needle, and there's guys you need to do that to get them fired up and rolling.

I didn't want to play quarterback.

I wanted to be part of a football team as a tough guy. That attitude just kind of always stuck with me.

There are a couple of mottos I've lived my life by, and one of them is, 'If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.' And on social media, I was like, 'This is getting a little heated, I'm not really liking what I'm seeing, so let's just get off of it.'

We talk about all this roughing the quarterback stuff and it's like, 'Dude, trust me - I'm on the side of the defense.' Like, don't get me wrong: If you hit me and they give me a free 15-yarder, I'm not complaining. But I totally understand how hard it is for those guys to do what the league is asking them to do. It's impossible.

Each week presents a new challenge.

Your resume as a quarterback is what you put on film. I have good stuff and bad stuff and that's what's out there.

I had a great time and am very grateful for my time in Jacksonville.

The Internet is the devil.

I believe in myself 100 percent and I think that's how you have to play the game.

I don't know how this sounds but my confidence never really wavers with myself.

I think any doubt you have within yourself I think will prohibit you from things you can possibly do, so I'll always have 100-percent confidence in myself.

At the end of the day, it's about owning the line of scrimmage, controlling it, moving it and being able to run the ball.

I think I've always kind of had an ability to ignore it, I guess - the outside noise or the pressure or whatever you want to call it - and kind of just focus on going and playing football.

My goal is to play quarterback in the NFL for a long time and you can't do that when you don't perform well enough, and I wasn't performing well enough.

I've hung out with some SWAT guys in California and they talked about how much they like working out but how few supplies they have.

All of my Pop Warner coaches were police officers so I've always been around it and spent time with them and I want to make a difference and allow them to do their jobs.

When you become a professional athlete, everybody thinks you have to do some kind of charity work and I wanted to, but I didn't want to rush into it. I wanted to find the things I was passionate about and take the time to do it right and actually make a difference and have a positive impact.

It's a waste of space in my mind to read negative stuff about me. Or positive stuff, for that matter, too.

When your guys are making plays and coming down with it you're only going to continue to give them more opportunities to do that.

My goal is to play football in Jacksonville for as long as they let me and in order to do that, we have to win games.

I will always be respectful of everyone we play.

I think I've always had optimism or whatever you want to call it, and each time I go play I expect that I'll go out there and we'll be successful and do a lot of good stuff.

I think about winning the football game in the week that we're in. That's all I care about. I could care less about the money they give us or making $100 million dollars or any of that.

There's a mental clock in my head, too, that's going, 'They're not going to let you win three games a year forever. They're not going to let you win five games a year forever. You've got to win, and you've got to win now. It's time to go.'

There was times where I can remember sitting in my house just thinking, 'Man, is this ever going to end?' Or, 'This can't go on forever.' And it was like with every single interception it just continued to grow. Balls are bouncing off guys' feet and hands and helmets, and it's like there's no way this can continue to happen.

I think when you're able to get the opportunities to have those chunk plays, you've got to capitalize on those because those are drive-starters and really gets the momentum going.

Everyone has their own opinion and they're entitled to voice it the way they want to. It is not going to bother me.

It's always on the quarterback. It's on the offense. If you play well, no one would have to get fired and no one would have to get cut.

When you struggle with what you're supposed to do all the time, you try to fix it as quickly as possible rather than let it get worse.
