I have no desire to be a politician. The role of chairman is not a politically aligned role, although it's all based in Canberra so I'm over there a lot.

I didnt see a lot of Alan Knott but from what I have seen of footage, he must have been amazing. Jack Russell just had beautiful hands. Class. But I cannot imagine anyone doing anything better than Ian Healy.

I am not too fussed by anything because I am comfortable with where and how I played the game.

Ive brought my family many times to India during the IPL. Weve visited all the big cities but my personal favourite is Dharamshala; the mountains are a contrast to the hustle and bustle of the cities.

Anyone would be naive to think people were not aware with what was going on about ball maintenance. I dont think Cricket Australia wanted to go there. They did not want to go any deeper than that superficial example of ball-tampering.

I think I could have adapted to left-handed golf better to right-handed batting.

People might think I am hypocritical because clearly my batting gave me an opportunity, certainly in the one-day team. I still always placed most importance on my wicketkeeping.

I suppose that's the way I have always thought about it. Just try to hit the ball. That's what the game's about.
